About Marian
A multi-award winning artist, my work is shown and collected both in Australia and internationally. Public and commercial commissions are in Sydney and many private commissions are in Sydney, Melbourne, the USA, UK and Canada. About 70% of my work is commission, and you can find more information about the commission process here.
I have exhibited, taught and spoken nationally and internationally and have represented Australia in two International Symposium of Contemporary Mosaic in Italy hosted by Maestro Guilio Menossi. My work has also been featured in a variety of books and magazines and on television.
Mosaic has existed as an art form for thousands of years. As a contemporary artist, I am fascinated by the creative tension of using ancient techniques and traditional materials to make modern art. My pieces are often inspired by the materials I use and by the contrasts that I can achieve by mixing different textures in the same piece: the roughness of marble against the smoothness of glass. - www.dariandesign.com.au
CANCELLATIONS CONDITIONS
Please familiarize yourself with our policies before booking. In order to keep our class prices affordable, we must enforce the following rules for payments/cancellations without exception.
Cancellations and refunds hurt our business. We are not a large chain store and have to absorb these costs and losses when people cancel at the last minute or don’t show up. It’s not personal, it is what we have to do to keep our business alive and to be able to grow.
Store Cancellations
In the event that our store should have to cancel a class, we will offer you a full refund or option to put your payment towards a future class. We try to avoid cancellations of course, but sometimes things happen – an instructor gets sick or has an emergency or we simply don’t have enough interest in a class and there are not enough registrations.
We want to do our best to serve our customers and we promise to honour refunds or credits on any event WE cancel.
Customer Cancellation
If you cancel within 12 hours of booking, so long as the date of the class is at least 2 weeks away, you may request a refund. Otherwise no refunds will be issued.
All classes are non-refundable. You may pass your paid ticket on to another party or you can choose a credit for a future class for any cancellations prior to 2 weeks before a class.
All classes must be paid in advance.
If you book and pay for a class and need to cancel, we will apply your payment to a future class so long as you cancel within 2 weeks of a scheduled class.
Cancellations after this time frame will forfeit their payment and will not receive credit. Some of our instructors travel and have a lot of supplies and preparation to host events here, so we need to ensure that they have enough participants to make it worth their time, expense and effort.
